Property Damage Disclosure

No deposit required for venue or studio bookings. Here's what applies instead.

No deposit

La Sociedad does not require a deposit to book the venue or content studio. We'd rather keep booking simple. In place of a deposit, every renter accepts the terms below as a condition of their booking.

Full liability for damage

By booking the venue or studio, the Renter accepts full financial responsibility for any damage to the property, its furnishings, fixtures, or equipment (including studio lighting and equipment) that occurs during their rental period, beyond normal wear and tear.

This responsibility applies regardless of who among the Renter's own guests or attendees caused the damage — the Renter named on the booking is responsible for their party as a whole.

How it's handled

Any damage is assessed after the booking and costed at the price of repair, replacement, or professional cleaning.
The Renter is invoiced directly to the contact details provided at booking.
Payment is due within the period stated on the invoice. [Insert payment window — e.g. 7 days.]
Unpaid invoices may be referred to debt recovery, and in cases of theft or deliberate damage, reported to police.

Why we can do this without a deposit

Every renter is a verified, background-checked member with confirmed identity and contact details on file. That verification — not a deposit — is what stands behind this policy.

Reporting an issue

If anything is damaged or goes wrong during a booking, we ask the Renter to let us know before leaving the property, or as soon as possible after. Reporting it early is always better for everyone.
