1. Eligibility

Membership is open to consenting adults aged 21 and over. Every application is reviewed individually, including identity verification and a background check. Membership is not automatic and may be declined at La Sociedad's discretion, without reason given.

2. Verification & accuracy

You must provide accurate information — including your real name, date of birth, and contact details — as part of your application. Misrepresenting your age or identity will result in immediate removal from the platform and, where relevant, referral to the appropriate authorities.

3. Code of conduct

• Clear, enthusiastic consent is required for any interaction at any La Sociedad event, venue, or studio booking.
• House rules shared in advance of each event or booking must be followed on-site.
• Recording or photographing another member, guest, or attendee without their explicit consent is prohibited.
• Harassment, coercion, or disregard for another person's boundaries will result in immediate removal and termination of membership.

4. Lawful use only

Members and renters are solely responsible for ensuring that anything they do at a La Sociedad event, venue, or studio booking — including any content produced during a studio rental — is lawful, involves only consenting adults, and complies with all applicable Australian law. La Sociedad does not permit its venues or studio to be used to arrange or provide commercial sexual services, and does not facilitate or condone any unlawful activity.

5. Discretion

We don't publish guest lists or venue addresses publicly. In return, we expect every member to respect the same discretion toward other members — what happens at a La Sociedad event stays with the people who were there.

6. Venue & studio rental

Renters are responsible for the condition of the venue or studio during their booking and agree to cover the cost of any damage. Booking details, pricing, and availability are confirmed directly with our team ahead of each rental.

7. Termination

La Sociedad may suspend or terminate a membership at any time for breach of these terms, illegal activity, or conduct that puts other members at risk. Where possible, we'll explain why — but we're not obligated to.

8. Liability

You attend La Sociedad events and use La Sociedad venues and studio space at your own risk. To the extent permitted by law, La Sociedad is not liable for loss, injury, or damage arising from your attendance or use of a venue, except where that liability cannot be excluded under Australian law.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as La Sociedad grows. Continued membership after an update means you accept the revised terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
